I know it can be difficult to know what that looks like. We’ve been molded to believe weddings have to follow a specific formula, so it’s hard to break free and imagine what your elopement could look like instead. That’s why I PROVIDE GUIDANCE.

FULL PLANNING SERVICES INCLUDED

Although photographing you is my main job, I’m also your wedding planner. Think 2-in-1 service here! I can be as involved or uninvolved in the planning process as you want me to be. However, typically I help my couples with everything. This included:

THE PLANNING PROCESS

Questionnaire
As soon as you’re booked in, you’ll receive an email that includes your digital PDF copy of my private Alberta Elopement Guide and questionnaire. This questionnaire helps me get to know you more and a bit more about your elopement ideas. It’s normal not to have a ton of ideas at this stage. Look through the Guide to get the wheels in your head turning. Fill out the questionnaire as best you can. If you’re feeling stuck and you’re having a hard time picturing how you want your day to go, let me know and we’ll hop on a Zoom to brainstorm!
Location(s)
Once I’ve read through your questionnaire and have a better idea of what you’re looking to get out of your elopement experience, I send over my location recommendations. You’ll receive a document with 1-2 recommendations that are best suited for your elopement based on time of year, scenery you want, and the overall experience you wish to have.
Custom Timeline
As soon as you’ve chosen your dream location, it’s time for me to work on your timeline! I like to have your timeline finalized as soon as possible so that it’s easier to book your other vendors. Your timeline is customized to create the best elopement experience. Through experience and a lot of trial and error, I know how much time is needed for hair & makeup, portraits, the ceremony, travelling, and breaks to make sure the day isn’t rushed. Using this knowledge and your elopement plans, I’ll create a timeline that will ensure your day is incredible!
Logistics Guide
Once your location(s) and timeline are finalized, I send over a custom Logistics Guide. This guide is tailored to you and includes everything from your timeline, off-line maps to all of your locations, checklists, general reminders, phone numbers, and more.

Throughout this process, we’ll touch base through email a dozen times (give or take) so that I can help guide you through everything. I promise this process is fun and not overwhelming!

Once we start chatting on Zoom, I’ll be able to let you know if a custom collection is better suited for you. For example, if 4 hours is a bit too rushed for your plans, but we only need an additional hour, we can do a 5 hour collection!

BASE PRICE = $4500
HOURLY = $250/hour (day of elopement)
Example: 4hr elopement is $4500 and a 12hr elopement is $7500

HOW IT WORKS

1. Zoom call

Before any retainer fees are paid or contracts signed, we’ll hop on a Zoom call. This is super chill, just a conversation - you don’t need to prepare anything. We’ll discuss your elopement ideas, get to know each other, and decided which collection best fits your vision. I’m absolutely dying to hear all about you, how you met, and what your dream elopement looks like - this is one of my favourite parts of my job! Our Zoom call is also a great time to ask me any questions you have about my services, what it’s like to work with me, or eloping in general. It’s really important that both of you are able to attend the Zoom call. Please schedule it for a day and time that works for you both. If you don’t see a date and time that works for you, please let me know.
If you’re not sure what your elopement vision is or what you’d like to do for your elopement, that’s totally okay and normal. I’m here to help! Once we start chatting and I get to know you, I’ll have a million ideas on how to make your day special and authentic to you.

2. Reserve your date

I book elopements 2-18 months in advance. I don’t usually take last minute elopements due to scheduling. Your 50% non-refundable retainer fee must be paid and contract signed to officially secure your date.
Even if you don’t have your full elopement planned, don’t hesitate to book. We dive more into locations, vendors, logistics, and more once you’re booked in and we start the planning process.

3. Plan your elopement

This is when we dive into everything I talked about in the planning section above. The planning part of your elopement is so much fun! This is when you get to dream big, brainstorm, and see your ideas start to line up! I’ll be as involved or uninvolved as you’d like me to be - but usually clients have me very involved and I’m with you through every step of the way.

4. ELOPE!

We’ll meet up and get you two married while I document the entire experience! The rest of your fee is due 4 weeks before your elopement date.

5. Receive your images

You’ll receive your sneak peeks roughly 3-5 days after your big day through an online gallery with an accompanying slide show. The rest of your images will be delivered to you at the same link 8-10 weeks later. At this time, I’ll send along my print shop pricing guide if you’re interested in purchasing albums, wall art, or print bundles.

She was even mindful for the ceremony site that my dad was recovering from a cracked hip and he couldn’t walk too long or walk on uneven surfaces.
She sent checklists and guide books to help keep me organized and she also gave me information on how to elope in Alberta legally and she even looked into how my brother could marry us!! I also had no time to pick up florals but she picked them up for me and brought them out. She really went above and beyond with the planning help, she even gave suggestions on which dress to pick because I couldn’t decide which one to wear.
Day of the wedding I wanted to sleep in a bit so I gave her a key to come into the hotel suite to start taking pictures while we were getting up. She started coffee for us too which was wonderful to wake up to!!
We took Kaitlyn's advice and scheduled 2 hours for our couple portraits. We're really glad we did this because it was really fun and gave us some alone time without our families around. It also created a very relaxed hike and we didn't feel rushed through portraits. It had started to cloud over and get snowy and we thought we would have to go back early but she assured us the pictures would be beautiful with the overcast sky and they were mind-blowing! So it was nice to have that reassurance and such unique photos.
